ICPS'08 Workshops

AUPC

2nd Workshop on Agent-Oriented Software Engineering Challenges for Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing

To develop ubiquitous and pervasive services and applications, new engineering methodologies and paradigms have been arising in recent years in the areas of software engineering, Multi-agent Systems, and Mobile Computing. This workshop aims to provide a forum in which to focus on Agent-Oriented Software Engineering methods, concepts, models, languages and tools that enable the design and development of practical applications in the context of ubiquitous and pervasive computing (UPC)

SecPerU

4th Workshop on Security, Privacy and Trust in Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing

The objectives of the SecPerU2008 Workshop are to develop new security, privacy and trust concepts for complex application scenarios based on systems like handhelds, phones, smart cards, sensors, actuators and RF tags, with the emerging technology of ubiquitous and pervasive computing.

SEPS

3rd Workshop on Software Engineering of Pervasive Services

There are many open questions regarding design, development, as well as deployment of pervasive systems. The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers from the areas of pervasive computing and software engineering to exchange ideas and to define new research directions based on experience and needs of both communities.

SIPE

3rd Workshop on Service Integration in Pervasive Environments

Bringing service-oriented computing and pervasive computing together raises the new challenge of integrating/unintegrating, in an application, non-predefined services just discovered in the pervasive environment. The workshop takles with three main sub-areas: Frameworks/Infrastructures for service integration; Services interaction, and Dynamic combining of services.

  ICPS08 Call for Tutorial

ICPS is an important forum for discussion between researchers, engineers, application & service developers and users interested in the field of pervasive services, by providing them the opportunity of sharing their latest advances in the field. (see http://www.ens-lyon.fr/LIP/RESO/icps2006/ and http://www. icpsconference.org/2007 for the last two editions of the conference).

Proposals for half/full day tutorials are solicited on topics relating to pervasive services. Candidate topics include (but are not restricted to) the following areas:

Proposals should demonstrate how the presented methods/techniques can be exploited in practice, and how results in one area can be adopted in another. Tutorials need to furnish substantial background information necessary for the audience to get familiar with the topic, before delivering a clear treatment of the subject covered.

Tutorial proposals can be submitted electronically by e-mail with the "ICPS Tutorial submission" subject to the ICPS Tutorial Chair, Marcello Cinque (macinque (at) unina.it), in PDF or PS format. The proposal has to include (no more than 4 pages):

  ICPS'08 Call for Demonstrations

ICPS 2008 solicits demonstrations showing pervasive services in action. We invite the whole community of pervasive computing to submit demonstration prototypes. Technology demonstrations must be prototypes and/or research work in progress.

ICPS will feature a special session that will showcase technology demonstrations. A Best Demonstration Award will be given to the most valuable demonstration, as determined by the Demonstration Committee.

The ICPS demonstration session will provide an opportunity to exhibit innovations and bring researchers together to discuss and initiate new collaborations.
